Women of Grace Spring retreat

Join us May 11 from 9am - 3pm at GPC for "Making Meaningful Connections"

We are designed to do life together. The Bible challenges us in this way "when we get together I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours." Rom 1:12. We are all unique, and God's individual plan for our lives includes our life experiences, passions, interests and gifting. Gather with us as we explore God's purposeful plan for making meaningful connections. Our day will include light breakfast, lunch, engaging breakout sessions, giveaways, worship and lively discussion! Cost is $20/person. Click here to sign up today!

Breakout Sessions: (choose 2 on registration form)

Connect through common interests & passions - What do you love doing Where would you give your time to serve people if you had no barriers? A passion is something that energizes you and brings you joy! You can probably name what that is for you, but did you know your passions can point to your God-given purpose to serve Him? Join the conversation of how God is using one woman's passion for fitness to serve the community. How might God be calling you to step out by giving purpose to your passion?

Connect by discovering and using spiritual gifts - We are God's children and as such, he chooses to give us good gifts to help one another thrive and to serve the church. The Bible has much to say about spiritual gifts! Your passions, interests, life experiences and wisdom from those who know you best can lend insight into your gifting. Surveys are also great discovery tools that can point you to your purpose!

Connect through life experiences - Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them." No experience, good or bad, no struggle, no loss is wasted and every story matters! God wants us to recognize how our life experiences can encourage others and bring deeper meaning to our own faith journey. Hear one person's story and be inspired!

Connect in friendship - We all need friends! God created us to do life together. We are called to "encourage one another and build each other up." I Thess. 5:11. What qualities make up a healthy friendship as opposed to an unhealthy one? Quality over quantity should be our goal. Talk about how to be intentional in your pursuit of friendship, so you can live God's design for community.

Thought patterns that keep us from making meaningful connections - Our thoughts are powerful! They influence and guide our choices. What steps have we neglected to take in our quest for connection because of preconceived ideas or stereotypes about a person or group? Listen to a story that will challenge you to identify thought patterns that could be holding you back and decide to rethink the possibilities.

Connect with your spouse - We've all heard the expression - "Good marriages don't just happen." What are the key components of a healthy marriage? How can we encourage one another to be intentional? Let's talk about it.
